Like other small, growing businesses, we opted to outsource our IT needs. We were referred to another vendor about 7 years ago. That vendor took a very passive, reactive approach to our IT needs. They never questioned our back-up procedure for our data or did routine checks on our computers. We continually had networking problems. The final straw with them came when we needed to replace our server. We asked them to determine the specs before we ordered. They approved the specs, we ordered the server, which quickly proved to be completely inadequate for our needs. The experience was frustrating.
